Centrally located on the U.S. East Coast, the Town's integrated transportation system of highways, railroads, airports and seaports ensures that businesses can reach their markets and get shipments from suppliers efficiently. Highways: State Routes 33 (east-west) and 30 (north-south) bisect the Town. Route 33 provides easy access to Interstate 64, just 8 miles from the Town. Interstates 295, 95, and 85 are within an hour's drive of the Town.

Rail: Norfolk-Southern Corp. provides freight service in King William County. CSX Transportation operates through neighboring New Kent County. Amtrak service is available in Richmond and Williamsburg.

Waterways: The York River features a 28-foot channel with port facilities for ocean-going vessels at West Point. The Port of Hampton Roads is 40 miles away and the Port of Richmond, 45 miles.

Air: General aviation services are provided by the Middle Peninsula Regional Airport (one mile from West Point). Richmond International Airport (35 miles) offers daily flights via 14 airlines. Air Freight service is provided by eight carriers with 15 to 20 daily departures. Additional commercial flights are available at Williamsburg/Newport News International Airport (35 miles) and Norfolk International (57 miles).
