West Point has five Boards and Commissions made up of volunteer citizens donating their time and efforts to help lead the Town of West Point to grow and function according to our Comprehensive Plan. Below are the links to the contact information for each Board or Commission.
The Board of Zoning Appeals meets the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in Council Chambers. Members serve on the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Wetlands Committee for a five year term

The seven member Economic Development Authority sponsors economic development for the Town of West Point. Current projects include waterfront redevelopment, a residential market analysis and downtown redevelopment.
An integrated transportation system of highways, railroads, airports and seaports ensures that businesses can reach their markets and get shipments from suppliers efficiently.
The Middle Peninsula Regional Airport, a public general aviation airport, is located approximately two mile Southeast of the Town of West Point, off of Virginia Route 33.
The 93-acre West Point Industrial Park is available to accommodate manufacturing, technology, and warehouse distribution companies. Its location is only minutes from Highway 33 and Interstate 64. There are various sized parcels to match site requirements. Fully serviced sites include underground electrical service, fiber optics with ISDN, competitive pricing, protective covenants, and fast track permitting.
